Tampa, Florida is located on the west coast of the state and resides within Hillsborough County.  As of 2007 its population was estimated at 336,823 and the “Greater Tampa Bay” area boasts over 4 million residents.  Tampa was incorporated as a city in 1855.  Its current mayor is Pam Iorio and she was reelected for a second term on April 1st. 2007.

Tampa is also home to a host of professional sports teams.  The NFL’s Tampa Bay Buccaneers which began in 1976 as an expansion team, the NHL’s Tampa Bay Lightening, The MLB’s Tampa Bay Rays, and the Arena Football League’s Tampa Bay Storm.  All four of the aforementioned teams, except for the Tampa Bay Rays, have won the championship in their respective sport.

Tampa has two major expressways serving the area, the Lee Roy Selmon Crosstown Expressway and the Veteran’s Expressway.  Interstates 4, 275, and 75 also run through the city.  Tampa has several DMV locations, two of which are located at 6283 West Waters Avenue and 2814 East Hillsborough Avenue.
